Dr. Lauren Schaible, Psy.D., NCSP, BCBA
In addition to providing clinical and traditional behavioral health therapy for Voyage, Dr. Lauren Schaible is an Instructor and Clinical Specialist at Montclair State University, fulfilling her passion of teaching future psychologists, school psychologists, and other specialized professionals in the field of psychology. In between clients and teaching, Dr. Lauren Schaible speaks at local and national conferences providing education, knowledge, and interventions for educators, parents, and mental health professionals. While working with adolescents and adults with a variety of disorders, many including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma, she maintains a specialization in working with those with ADHD and OCD.
My Personal Journey
I started down a path as a teacher quickly realizing that I was not able to help some of my students in the way they needed. Becoming a teacher was a lifetime goal of mine at the time so I became confused and not sure what path to take next. I ventured out into the world on a journey that changed my life forever. I learned an appreciation for differences and hardship like I had never known before and found a new path in behavioral and mental health. This path was long, difficult, and had many twists and turns. But I finally made it to where I belong; sharing my life with my husband, two boys, and two Siberian Huskies.
Voyage is a symbol of my journey to how I got to where I am today. It’s a story of my own struggle of hardships and the success of finding myself after being lost.
